As with most places like that though, I can imagine a fair few apartment blocks have popped up over the years making it a bit unsightly, but there were some nice places to go. Park of Nations as you mentioned is always a nice spot, there’s a good water park by the city too. Had a good experience of the beaches by town and La Zenia was always a favourite of mine. Guardamar has a lovely beach as well.

Haha, every town has it’s own unique feel and charm. Some are just more charming than others.

Pinomar beach is the best beach too and it’s not crowded at all. We nicknamed it Echo Beach and we could have spent more time there, but we’ll save that for next time.

I think that you have to read about the different areas before you rent a condo there. My family and I visit Torrevieja a couple times a year and we prefer the La Zenia area or Villamartin. Its nice and clean, close to restaurants, bars and shopping. To rent a condo in the middle of the city is nothing we would do, its not cozy enough.

About the beaches. If you are willing to drive 20 minutes or so south I recommend the El Mojon beach. Not much people there, the beach is wide and long, they serve drinks and simple food, there are clean toilets and its easy to find a parking spot.

We have had a few spots that were similar, and I guess if it wasn’t for the bad (or should I say not so great?), then there couldn’t be the good!
